Viva Wine Group’s sustainability efforts 2025

Strategy and management

  • Published an ESRS-inspired sustainability report to strengthen structure, transparency, and alignment with CSRD requirements.
  • Laid the foundation for a harmonised and Group-wide sustainability strategy, including long-term targets.
  • Acquired companies, including the Delta Wines Group, were incorporated into the sustainability reporting.

Environment

  • To achieve a complete carbon footprint, Scope 3 reporting was expanded to include viticulture, production, and additional categories (e.g. commuting, end-of-life, land-use change).
  • Continued the shift towards low carbon packaging, with an increased share of lightweight glass and 67% of beverages have packaging with a low climate footprint(lightweight glass, BiB, pouches, cans & PET).
  • Of total inbound transport distances, 21 percent was by rail, 64 percent by sea and 15 percent by road. The Swedish operations analysed the use of road over rail, reducing the share of road transport by 32 percent compared to the previous year.
  • Within the B2C segment, the e-commerce business used DHL GoGreen for more than 50 percent of parcels delivered in Germany, meaning these deliveries were fully carbon-offset.
  • The use of renewable fuels increased, with HVO used on several routes in Sweden and Europe, this is a continued focus.
  • Our companies continued to encourage producers to adopt regenerative viticulture practices, for example by allowing a diversity of plants to grow between and around the vines.

Social

  • Skills development and initiatives that strengthen leadership and core values were prioritised, inlcuding trainings in cyber security, AI, sustainability, beverage knowledge and leadership.
  • At the end of 2025, the workforce consisted of 53 percent women and 47 percent men, with a relatively even gender distribution across countries and roles.
  • HR, together with the organisation, developed a common cultural framework, resulting in the Viva Values. These define the Group’s core values and provide a shared direction across all companies.
  • 83 percent of producers had signed the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct or an equivalent standard, with near-full compliance in the Nordic region and high levels in Germany.
